Ludwig van Beethoven's Mass in C Major, Op. 86, is a remarkable work that combines the grandeur of the Classical tradition with the composer's deeply personal musical language. Written in 1807, it offers moments of radiant joy, intimate prayer, dramatic intensity and profound peace.
In this atelier, singers will explore the complete Mass, discovering Beethoven's unique approach to sacred music while bringing this masterpiece to life. In the final concert, the atelier choir will be joined by the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, creating a magnificent finale to the EUROPA CANTAT 2027 festival.
